I found this quote today on www.nannystate.com.au from Steve Jobs:

Steve Jobs of Apple to a critical questioner “By the way, what have you done that’s so great? Do you create anything, or just criticise others’ work and belittle their motivations”.

So next when someone starts to put you down, question your goals, or is just negative when it should really be no concern of theirs maybe you'd like to quote Mr. Jobs, even if it is just to yourself.
